Temperature Monitoring

It is important that regular temperature monitoring is carried out to assess the effectiveness of the water treatment programme. Freeston Water Treatment will assign a technician to complete monthly visits in which they will test the hot and cold temperatures from all sentinel assets and record the data. This data will then be taken back to our offices and a log book and monthly reports will be produced and sent to you. Further tests can be carried out once the results have been assessed.

Water Sampling

Our technicians can take one off or regular samples for testing for Legionella, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, other bacteria, chemistry etc. We can take samples from;

* Hot and cold outlets

* Swimming pools

* Hot Tubs/ Spa pools

* Showers

* Closed and process systems

* Evaporative Cooling systems (Cooling Towers)

* Hot water storage vessels

* Cold water storage tanks

Samples will then be taken to a UKAS Accredited Laboratory for analysis. The certificates with the results will then be sent to you along with any recommendations for action.

Showerhead Cleaning

Showerhead cleaning is a recommended procedure in the ACoP L8 and the technical guidance HSG274. It is advised that showerheads should be inspected quarterly and cleaned, disinfected and descaled when necessary. We offer both the bespoke chemical called Showerhead Plus to carry this out and also the service of attending site and carrying this service out for our clients.

Cleaning and Disinfection

The ACoP says that the risk from exposure to Legionella should be prevented or controlled; precautions include maintaining the cleanliness of the system and the water in it. HSG274 and HTM 04-01 all reference the requirements for Cleaning and Disinfection to be undertaken as required following inspection.

Inspection, Cleaning and Disinfection would be carried out by our trained technicians.

Please email info@freeston.co.uk or chat with us and we will arrange a call back to organise a Clean and Disinfection.
