Legionella Risk Assessments

Arranging a Risk Assessment is your responsibility as the employer of the person in control of the premises. Freeston Water Treatment can undertake a Risk Assessment in accordance with Health and Safety Executive approved Code of Practice& Guidance L8, HSG274 Technical Guidance and BS8580. 

A survey would be carried out and presented as a report compromising the following;

  • Introduction

  • System Survey Reports 

  • Asset Register

  • Prioritised recommendations for remedial works, intended to remove or minimise risk (categorised for client in-house action or requiring external service assistance.)

  • Recommendations for updates to any existing schematic diagrams

  • Recommended on-going Legionella management actions in order to minimise and control risk

  • Photographic evidence where appropriate

  • Evidence of the competence of the assessor. 

  • Schematic diagrams of the risk-bearing systems can also be produced if there are none available or not suitable.
